Unlike its neighbour, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/australiaobsessed.com\/putty-beach-campground\/\">Putty Beach campground,<\/a> <\/strong>Frazer campground sits on a small hill overlooking Frazer Beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With Wybung Head to your right and Snapper Point to your left, you\u2019re nestled in a sheltered bay, surrounded by a rugged and jagged coastline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"gb-headline gb-headline-7d0a0e99 gb-headline-text\">Notes for Frazer Beach camping<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Flushing toilets are available, but they&#8217;re a short walk from the campground toward the main beach access area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are no hot showers available. There\u2019s a cold shower to rinse off as you get off the beach and indoor showers in the amenities block with the toilets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The sites don\u2019t have power.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open fires are not permitted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are covered BBQ facilities and picnic tables near the campground.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bore water is available, but you\u2019ll need to bring your own drinking water.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Frazer Campground is for tent camping only. (N0 camper vans and camper trailers).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No pets allowed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are no shade areas, so bring a gazebo if you\u2019re travelling during summer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The phone reception at Frazer Campground isn\u2019t great. They are so close that you will most likely hear every conversation your neighbour has.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, you want to be picky when it comes to choosing your camping spot. Trust me, you won\u2019t regret it! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Site 1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s one site you want to book when visiting Frazer Campground, and that\u2019s site 1. There\u2019s very little space between them, and you\u2019ll have neighbours on both sides of your tent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For these middle sites, I recommend bringing no more than one big and one small tent. I\u2019m in my happy place when I\u2019m out in nature, away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But would I book Frazer Beach again, knowing just how close the sites are to each other?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hmmm &#8211; yes! And here\u2019s why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I considered myself very lucky on this trip. All the sites were booked, yet no campers turned up on the Saturday. This left us with the entire campground to ourselves! (Well, for one night at least)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the Friday night, we had a big group camping next to us, which wasn\u2019t ideal. Their set up looked on to our site, and we could hear everything that was said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was a loud group who went to bed late and woke up early, so it wasn\u2019t quite the peaceful wake-up call I had hoped for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the next night was a different story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The people from Friday had left, and a new group of campers were due to arrive, but they never did. This is a cost you\u2019ll incur over and above your camping fees.
