It&#8217;s nestled in Broken Head Nature Reserve, just an hour&#8217;s drive from the Gold Coast and 2 hours from Brisbane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What to expect<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The highlight of camping, caravaning, or booking a cabin at Broken Head Holiday Park is how close it is to the beach. You&#8217;re not going to get any better!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s located alongside the beach entrance and is the only accommodation option that gets you this close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But it is a holiday park, after all. I, on the other hand, try to avoid holiday parks as I like having more space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, you won&#8217;t find any other campsites at Broken Head. So it&#8217;s a small price to pay for being in such a prime location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Top tip:<\/strong> If you&#8217;re tent camping, also check out <a href=\"https:\/\/australiaobsessed.com\/flat-rock-tent-park\/\"><strong>Flat Rock Tent Park<\/strong><\/a>. It&#8217;s a beachfront campground only 20 minutes south of Broken Head. The sites are a lot bigger, and open fires are permitted. There is additional parking just outside the boom gate, but you&#8217;ll need to purchase a National Parks Pass to park. At the end of the trail, there are stairs leading to a small beach. Take a dip here before heading back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Visit Byron Bay. <\/strong>Byron is just a short drive from Broken Head Holiday Park, so you can easily drive to town for lunch or some retail therapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Explore Kings Beach. <\/strong>Kings Beach is a stunning beach in the bay next to Boken Head Beach. You can access the beach by taking the Seven Miles Drive. It&#8217;s a 15-minute walk down lots of stairs to the beach.
