The guest lounge is filled with natural light thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows and it offers a seating area with a fireplace where you can enjoy local wine and cheese platters. This ambience is carried throughout the hotel and into each of the 22 guest rooms.
The rooms are tastefully decorated, and each come fitted with a comfy seating area and tea/coffee station. With heated bathroom floors and a skylight above the bath, it doesn’t get much better than this!

The hotel offers beautiful city and mountain views, best enjoyed from the rooftop area or your private balcony.
Quest has a variety of apartments available including studios, one, two, and three-bedroom condos. Each comes fitted with a kitchenette and are perfect for families looking for a relaxed and comfortable stay with all the conveniences of home. You can even bring your furry friends along as the hotel is pet friendly.

The rooms are warm and cosy for those freezing Orange nights and the thoughtful touches of real tea leaves, ground coffee and a French press don’t go unnoticed.
But there’s more to The Oriana hotel than just the comfortable rooms – The chick bar is a great place to socialize and The Peacock Room restaurant serves up delicious, mouth-watering food.
The outdoor garden boasts a fire pit and fairy lights and is popular amongst guests wanting to cosy up alongside the fire on a cold winter’s eve.
The extra little touches and friendly staff go a long way in enhancing the guest experience. Final thoughts? The Oriana is definitely getting it right.

The property is beautifully spaced out and includes a gorgeous pool surrounded by large trees. Their on-site restaurant, Relish, is convenient for guests considering the hotel is not within walking distance from the main area in town.

If you’re travelling with your family, this is a great option as the rooms are incredibly spacious. The large, comfortable beds, with their bright coloured throws and cushions, add pops of colour to the space.
Each room offers tea/coffee stations, a fridge and even a microwave. Rooms on the second floor are only accessible by stairs so if you’re not a fan tackling the stairs, perhaps request a ground floor room when making your reservation.
Staff are friendly and happy to go the extra mile to assist you. The hotel doesn’t offer all the bells and whistles that you will receive from one of the more expensive hotels in Orange, but you will be comfortable and well looked after here.

The Central Caleula Motor Lodge offers a real slice of Orange’s heritage. The building boasts beautiful stained-glass windows accompanied by new age, modern décor. The business has been owned and operated by the same family for 30 years and has built a reputation of warm hospitality and unique experience.
Being so close to the centre of town, you are spoiled for choice when it comes to places to eat and drink. But there’s no need to leave the front door as the Central Caleula Lodge offers an on-site bar and restaurant (and even a pool).
It’s the perfect place to stay in Orange for families, friends or solo travellers. The rooms have recently been refurbished and a select few even have underfloor heating – perfect for those freezing Orange days. Air-conditioning and fans are also provided and additional appliances are available upon request.
The staff pride themselves on warm, friendly hospitality. If you’re looking for a hotel that delivers way above its grading and gives you the best value for your money, look no further than The Central Caleula Motor Lodge. No doubt one of the best budget hotels in Orange.

Town Square Motel and Metropolitan Hotel: Best Budget Hotel in Orange
At first glance, you may be wondering why I’ve listed the Town Square Motel as the best hotel in Orange for budget travellers – because the prices seem pretty consistent with other properties on this list!
But take a closer look and you’ll notice that they offer large double and single rooms for half the price of some of their other options. So, what’s the catch? Well, these don’t come with an ensuite bathroom and guests make use of shared ablution facilities.
So, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for families travelling with young children, but for a single traveller or a couple, it’s a bargain. The location is hard to beat, and the onsite pub and restaurant are packed with character.
When it comes to the rooms, they’re basic but clean, cosy and comfortable. There are also room options with ensuite bathrooms so take a look at those as well if you’re willing to spend a bit more for additional privacy.
Things to consider
If you’re on a tight budget and just looking for a place to rest your head while exploring beautiful Orange, then this is your best bet. Overall, the Town Square Motel and Metropolitan Hotel isn’t anything fancy but with the welcoming, friendly staff, you can’t go wrong.
