Where to Stay in Stanthorpe

Stanthorpe forms part of the Granite Belt wine region, which is close to the NSW and Queensland border.

The tiny town of Ballandean is just a stone’s throw away from Stanthorpe. While the latter is more built-up and developed, Ballandean is the smaller of the two.

Before my trip, I had no clue where to stay: Stanthorpe or Ballandean.

But after exploring the area extensively, I can confirm that both are surrounded by wineries and gorgeous landscapes.

They’re only a 15-minute drive away from each other, so before deciding whether to stay in Stanthorpe or Ballandean, it’s best to look at what accommodation is available and decide from there.

Below, I’ve included cottages and cabins in Stanthorpe and Ballandean.
